Innovation focuses the offer and activities of Hostelco 2010
Hostelco, the International Exhibition of Equipment for Catering, Hospitality and Collectivities, premieres in this edition the "Innovation and Trends Area", a space whose backbone will be innovation in all its aspects. The area will be integrated by an exhibition of products, will host the awards ceremony for the best innovative proposals as well as different technical conferences where new solutions will be proposed in terms of production, management and optimization of resources. The show will take place from 5 to 9 November 2010 at the Montjuïc venue of Fira de Barcelona.
In the Innovation Space , the most innovative products presented by the exhibitors and selected by a team of experts are exhibited. The objective is to give prominence to the results of investments in technological development of companies and at the same time speed up the visit of professionals, who will have the opportunity to know the most outstanding novelties of the show concentrated in the same area.
On the other hand, an area is allocated to technical conferences also focused on innovation and everything related to R + D + i projects. At the same time, the Trends Debate Forum is organized, with round tables by coolhunters and experts in the different disciplines.
Likewise, Hostelco presents its own awards for the first time, distributed in three categories: Award for the best technological innovation; Award for the best hotel project (in terms of design, functionality, sustainability and construction), and the Award for the best project in catering, including restaurants, bars and cafes. The jury will be composed of experts belonging to the associations and guilds of the sector, and members of the Organizing Committee of the show.
Salon details
Hostelco, organized by Fira de Barcelona and FELAC, the Spanish Federation of Associations of Manufacturers of Machinery for Hospitality, Collectivities and Related Industries, had in its last edition the presence of 963 exhibitors and 80,000 visitors, and will celebrate its 15th call with the aim of repeating attendance data.
The show is structured in the sectors of Equipment and machinery for the hotel industry; Tableware and table service; Management, control, IT and security; Textiles and uniforms; Furniture and decoration, and in four areas with their own identity: Coffee area; Expolimp, dedicated to professional cleaning; Food Service, the food sector for the Horeca channel (Hospitality, Catering and Catering), and Intervending, dedicated to automatic distribution.
