Dear friends, if we think about the answer to this question some will be satisfied, others will feel that they have a lot to do and others will know that they must start implementing it.
Like everything, the first dives of hotels and tourism companies on the Internet were nothing more than fashion, but today with the passage of the years and the evolution to web 2.0, the conception of what Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) can do by the industry is different.
Two editions ago we talked about digital guests, today we will mention those tools that are used to reach them. The most important thing is to be clear about what we have a website for, because this is not by fashion or chance, it is an element of positioning and recognition that should not be left in the hands of the engineer or ICT expert; you as a project manager must visualize and be clear about what you want and need from them and technology.
In addition to this, it is necessary that the website is never unattended, outdated and that time is dedicated to it. A page must have minimally a reservation system, images of each space of the hotel, location of the same and a contact section that is used, it is useless to have it if there is no one to respond to the users: this would take away points.
There are many elements to take into account, there is also the positioning in search engines, profiles on social networks, applications for smartphones and others, but we can not touch them all in this editorial, so we are leaving some topics for later.
