Responsibility to the environment is not fashionable

I recently read an article that talked about the concept of personal and corporate social responsibility, how to assume the consequences (good and bad) of actions in the face of human rights, the economy and the environment.

As people it is important to fulfill it, can you imagine if we all take care of our actions at the time of standing in line or if we give way on the road, everything we can change?

And let's think about how much we can help if each of us does something to take care of the environment...

We have talked a lot about this issue, countries are worrying about changing the landscape, companies have tried to change their practices to take care of the environment and hotel chains, as well as independent establishments, created business care strategies and included guests in them.

We know that some guests do not choose to be part of these programs if they do not have, for example, an additional incentive; others decide that their sheets and towels are not washed to help the environment, but at night they fill the tub and take a relaxing bath, how much water do they consume in it?

We all know that we can control what everyone does or what their employees do, but how do we lead customers to support us in this work?

At the Avenue Crowne Plaza Hotel Chicago, for example, if you choose that your sheets and towels are not washed during your stay or your room is organized, they provide you with wifi internet in return, however the feeling of entering your room and finding it as you left it in the morning is not pleasant.

This is a complex issue that, for some hotels, has been a good strategy, for others it has not, but the most important thing is that hoteliers and all of us who are part of this segment become aware of the great impact it can generate in the mitigation of climate change and, above all, that we realize how large our carbon footprint is.
