JLL announced the appointment of Yash Kapila as Chief Operating Officer (COO) for its Integrated Facility Management Services (IFM) division in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Kepila will have full responsibility for account operations and business transformation effective the fourth quarter of 2015. Kapila is currently JLL's international director in India, and will bring 22 years of industry experience to his new role within the company. JLL's IFM team is responsible for measuring and managing the performance of corporate clients' buildings. It also aims to maximize the efficiency of real estate personnel, optimize operational spending through strategic sourcing, and reduce energy costs by reducing consumption. Magnus Akerberg, JLL's EMEA IFM Managing Director, said: "Since joining JLL in 2008, Yash has made a significant contribution to our Asia-Pacific business, with the IFM division in India reaching three times its size during its management. We are very pleased to have a leader of Yash's caliber join us."
