Hewlett Packard Services Spain will lease the entire building (7,200 m²) and join companies such as Amazon and WeWork, which have also leased buildings on the same street. Among the tenants located in the area, Facebook, Schibsted, King and Indra stand out. Located in 22@ (Glories), the well-known business and commercial district of the center of Barcelona, number 66 Tangier Street is distributed over five floors, with a roof terrace of 800 m² that offers panoramic views of the district and the city. Since acquiring this building in July 2016, UK & European Investments has overseen the first refurbishment of an industrial building for transformation into Barcelona's first Leed Platinum certified office building. Tangier 66 is the result of the rehabilitation of an old industrial building. Fraser Denton, Managing Director for Continental Europe at UK & European Investments, commented: "We realised the potential of the building at 66 Tangier Street some years ago. However, we wait for the right time to acquire it: the resurgence of the office market and, most importantly, the consolidation of the 22@ district as the main destination for the best multinationals. Calle Tangier 66 is a modern and creative office space, with a unique and innovative offer for tenants looking for new offices in Barcelona. We are delighted to welcome Hewlett Packard Services Spain as our new tenants." - Publicidad - Urban Input, the asset manager appointed for the project, added: "Due to Poblenou's industrial past, it is unusual that there are so few promotions that maintain the industrial look and feel. Tenants need that amazing factor to attract young talent, and that is precisely what we have managed to capture in this building. In addition, we are proud to have secured the city's first Leed Platinum certified office building development." Following the acquisition of the building, London architecture firm Buckley Gray Yeoman (BGY) was appointed to conceive the new concept and redesign of the building. Deerns was also hired as a local architecture and engineering firm to work together with BGY on the execution of the final project.
