      Details     23 October 2007           Marriott International announced the opening of two hotels in Bogota in 2009, closing an important phase of its development strategy in South America. Under a franchise agreement with Real Hotels and Resorts, Inc., the hotel division of The Poma Group of El Salvador, Marriott will open 264 luxury rooms of the JW Marriott Hotel Bogotá, in the financial district of that city and 239 upper rooms with the Marriott Bogotá in Ciudad Salitre, near the Bogotá International Airport.Marriott also signed another agreement with the Poma Group earlier this year, which includes the development of five courtyard by Marriott hotels of superior-moderate category, in key cities of Colombia. The first will be located in Cali and is expected to be ready by the end of 2009.
