The Chilean Safety Association (ACHS) recognized Sodexo for reaching the milestone of 7 consecutive years without accidents at the MantoVerde mining company, located in the Chilean region of Antofagasta. Sodexo has been in charge of food, cleaning and accommodation services in the camp of this mine since October 2013. According to the companies, in order to stay free of accidents, Sodexo developed a preventive management program based on training towards self-care. According to Alfredo Do Nascimento, Director of Remote Site Operations at Sodexo, "this recognition ratifies us as leaders in the integration of quality of life services in mining, covering all stages of the life cycle of each project, from its planning to its closure. For Sodexo it is of vital importance to ensure that all our workers arrive healthy back at home and therefore we work very intensively on all those issues related to safety."
