"The buildings of the present and those of the future must be designed with three approaches: First, thinking about people, their comfort and functionality. This means that the building must meet all the possible demands that a user requires to work or live within the facilities of the area, whether it is a small commercial establishment or a complex and demanding data center." Says William Mariño of Schneider Electric. "The second approach is that the building must be responsible with the planet, with its resources, carbon emissions, among other factors. Finally, all constructions must be thought of the profits and benefits of both users and investors. For example, an efficient building can save up to 30% in operating expenses, by reducing the use of energy in its management." For this, Schneider Electric has deployed the concept of Ecobuilding, which is managed within the company as a business unit focused on the development of more efficient and friendly constructions. Schneider Electric's EcoBuildings business is actually a business with great growth projection in the short and medium term due to the increasing pressure of energy costs and the need to be more competitive in the medium and long term.
