Law 27.191/15 "National promotion regime for the use of renewable energy sources for the production of electrical energy", with which it seeks to increase the participation of renewable sources in national electricity. The Law expects to increase the implementation of renewable energies to 8% in 2017 and 20% in 2025, because currently only 1% of this class of electricity generation sources are being used. This law will provide the possibility of progressing in the diversification of the electricity matrix through sources such as wind, biomass and solar, in order to achieve the goals mentioned above, and apply policies of rational and efficient use of energy that aim to reduce unnecessary consumption by at least 25% by 2030.
