In this sense, Schneider Electric, one of the leaders in digital transformation of energy management and automation, contributes to ensuring the electricity supply through the Easergy T300.

This is a compact control and monitoring solution for electrical distribution systems that uses the latest communication and power automation technology, and is an important piece in the architecture – Ecostruxure – that supports the digital transformation of network operators. One of its great advantages is that it is designed directly for operation in a substation.

In this regard, Sergio Luque, product manager energy -Andean Cluster- of Schneider Electric, reported that the "T300 is oriented in cybersecurity; allowing you to have access levels to manage a substation. In addition, its additional orientation in remote control means that from a web service the monitoring is carried out from a cell phone, computer or remotely without having to be connected directly to quickly make a maneuver, without depending on an internet connection. "

The substations ensure the electricity supply, so with the developments of the industries and Schneider Electric, it is possible to make them intelligent and with the ability to modify themselves to offer efficient and safe solutions to the energy supply, precise for users who majean extensive infrastructures that require monitoring.

Easergy T300 is the result of years of innovation and development. Its compact and modular design simplifies installation, commissioning and maintenance with advanced functions according to the deployment of the smart grid.

**Monitoring and detection**
Luque added that thanks to the web service there is remote monitoring or through any of the communication protocols handled by the T300, the client can remotely manage their RTU and the substation. With monitoring, it is possible to detect and manage solutions to failures in electrical networks that may arise.

"It is important to emphasize that the T300 is directly designed to operate in substations, which usually have a standard configuration. Also, with the web server inserted inside the RTU a wifi signal is generated (which if I am nearby) allows me to connect from the cell phone and I will be able to manipulate it through a username and password. It must also be taken into account that by protocol it provides the prioritization of messages at the moment that a failure event occurs within the substation, that is, it prioritizes information in the midst of the data congestion that exists in the network, so that failures are provided with a response in the shortest possible time. "

The expert said that this shorter response time allows to increase the useful life of the equipment, since they will be exposed in less time to a failure such as an overcurrent or a surge, to give an example. Schneider Electric and the Easergy T300 were awarded at the IF Desing Awards ceremony held in Munich (Germany) in the category of "Industry / Specialized Trades".
