The director of the Dagrd, Carlos Alberto Gi l, said that the decision was made, because a few days ago there was a fire that destroyed a fourth-floor apartment of a 13-story building and it was established that it had no emergency plan or fire systems. Although the conflagration did not leave human victims, it did set off alarms and showed the lack of concrete fire initiatives in the city of Medellín, especially with regard to the residential sector. "The fire destroyed the apartment and was started, apparently, by a short circuit in the connection of a washing machine.
