Thanks to the system implemented by Genia Global Energy in the logistics warehouse of Bodegas Murviedro, better lighting has been achieved with savings of more than 91%. The logistics warehouse of the wineries in Requena, Valencia, of 2,300m2, had a high energy consumption with very improvable lighting results, with irregularly lit areas and a yellowish hue, so it resorted to the Valencian consultancy, which has achieved an improvement in the quality and intensity of lighting with this 91% reduction in consumption. After studying the conditions of the warehouse, the proposed solution has been based on state-of-the-art luminaires, equipped with sensors and interconnected and a centralized intelligent control system. - Publicidad - The luminaires chosen, from Digital Lumens, are able to reduce energy consumption by a very high percentage in industrial environments with a high quality of light. This system was chosen because each luminaire is intelligent: it has sensors capable of detecting the light intensity in the premises or the presence or not of operators in the area and communicates through an internal network with the rest of the luminaires and with a central management system (IoT). These luminaires do not need maintenance and have a service life of more than 20 years. All luminaires are connected to a software that remotely controls the system. The system is able to decide in fractions of a second the optimal lighting conditions for each situation and work area. As a result, better lighting has been achieved with savings of more than 91%, going from a consumption of almost 46,000KWh/year to less than 2,000KWh/year.
