The British sports club began its transition to using 100% green energy a year ago by signing the supply contract with Octopus Energy. Arsenal FC's stadium officially began to be supplied with renewable energy on August 6, when the general director of the football club, Ivan Gazidis, met with the CEO of Octopus Energy, Greg Jackson, to celebrate a year of the commitment acquired by the sports club with the sustainability of its activity. As a result of this agreement with Octopus Energy, the waste generated at the Emirates Stadium is sent to an anaerobic digestion plant, where it is converted into more energy that will be used again by the club. For its part, the energy supplied by Octopus Energy comes from its extensive network of photovoltaic plants and anaerobic digestion centers.
