In a statement released by the company Luis Riu, CEO of RIU Hotels & Resorts, explained about this initiative that "for us it is another example of the importance that Mexico has in our expansion plans and the quality offer we want to offer in this country". The property, which will be inaugurated on May 4, will work under the all-inclusive scheme and will have 562 rooms. In addition, it will complement the company's offer by joining the Riu Palace de las Américas, Riu Cancun and Riu Caribe hotels, already present in the destination.
