According to figures from the Hotel Association of Bogotá, the Hotel Cosmos 100 has been in first place for more than 10 consecutive months, in terms of room sales in Bogotá. In the first half of 2007 it accumulated an average occupancy of 71.07 percent, while in the same period of 2006 it was 65.4 percent, which reveals a growth very close to 10 percent.
The hotel was born as an aparthotel. With an initial capital of 12 million pesos, 10 dreamers built the first tower. A decade later, they built the second. Twelve years later, the third. Today it is one of the largest hotels in the country: it has 300 rooms, 18 rooms for events and 300 parking lots.
