In order to become Peru's leading hotel hub by 2015, Callao will make investments of more than US$100 million in four hotel establishments that will be located near Jorge Chávez Airport.
Hotel entrepreneurs are convinced that this port is the best option to develop new projects before 2015.
For this reason, hotel chains such as Accor, GHL, IntercontinentalHotels Group (IHG) and Marriott confirmed their participation and their plans to partner with Peruvian entrepreneurs to bring these initiatives to fruition.
The Costa del Sol-Ramada hotel will be joined by the Novotel Jorge Chávez and the Ibis hotel, both of the Accor brand; There will also be IHG's Holiday Inn Airport and Marriott Airport.
These new hotels will have a category similar to or higher than four stars. As for their dimensions, all will exceed 80 rooms.
According to hotel entrepreneurs, the Novotel will have 150 rooms and will cost US$21 million. The Holiday Inn will have 80 rooms and an investment of US$24 million. The Marriott will have 250 to 300 rooms, and will demand US$55 million, and the Ibis will exceed US$10 million.
