Colombia. The vice-rector of the National University, Jaime Franky, referred to the complaints about cracks in the building of the Faculty of Plastic Arts and assured that the situation would have been presented by the effects of the El Niño Phenomenon.
"We are doing a soil study to know what kind of measures we should take. We have made the decision to vacate two of the rooms on the second floor," he said.
Franky also said that to date there are planned "several works for Bogotá and we have the reinforcement of the acoustic shell, the structure of the faculty of law and maintenance of roofs for the winter season."
According to the vice-rector of the National University, the investment projected for the next three years "will be around $60,000 million, $30,000 for new buildings and another $30,000 for maintenance and adaptations of the most important University in Colombia.
