International. Somfy announced the publication of version 3.0 of the book The Dynamic Facade with updated content, photos and information. The book is a technical and graphic summary of the characteristics of the dynamic façade as the first energy control of the building that improves the light and thermal comfort of users by increasing natural lighting by reducing the consumption of artificial light and air conditioning. Solar control reduces energy consumption and CO2 emissions, respecting the environment, and contributing to achieving Nearly Zero Consumption Buildings.
The objective of the book is to disseminate the benefits of solar control and protection to ensure that future projects of new construction and rehabilitation of buildings include solar control systems on the façade contributing significantly to achieve Buildings of Almost Zero Consumption (EECN). The control and solar protection architecturally integrated into the façade are the first energy control of the building for energy savings that implies a commitment to the environment in the reduction of CO2 emissions and a notable improvement in the thermal and light comfort of users.
Solar control includes all those systems capable of controlling and optimizing the entry of solar radiation and natural lighting into any type of building. The control and solar protection are integrated into the façade with the architecture of the building adapting to the weather and urban environment of the area. The solar control can also be integrated with the rest of the lighting systems, air conditioning, etc. to achieve a joint management system in the building. Therefore, it provides light control, thermal control, energy saving, sustainability and solar control.
