International. A few days ago, EuroFM (European Facility Management Network) appointed David Martínez, global director of FMHOUSE, as ambassador for Spain. The delivery of the degree is part of the international program by which a select group of recognized professionals in the sector will represent the international network of organizations related to the Facility Management sector and will help the dissemination and recognition of it.
The Spanish David Martínez becomes the first ambassador of the program initiated by the international network of Facilty Management, EuroFM, with the aim of expanding its activities outside Europe.
The recognition of ambassador was granted to David Martínez by Pekka Matvejeff, chairman of EuroFM, during the general assembly of members, which took place in Heerlen (Netherlands).
In the words of Matvejeff, "Martínez has shown a dedication and dedication that make him just worthy of the appointment", and added that "one of the reasons for the choice had been the impeccable reputation and a high sense of ethics, which make him worthy recipient of this title, since they are qualities that are in line with the values of EuroFM".
Goran Milanov, Vice President of EuroFM and head of the Ambassador Program, commented that "with 53 countries from five continents, present at the 25th edition of the EFMC (European Facility Management Conference) held this year in Madrid, it was latent that the EuroFM community was not limited to Europe and it was necessary to accommodate other members and extend activities outside these borders. That is why the decision was made to appoint a representative in each country, with the aim of finding local support in the development of FM at the international level."
In the delivery, Martínez commented that "it is necessary to send a clear and independent message to the markets about what Facility Management is, without wanting to sell anything or force to adopt certain positions, and this is the great value of EuroFM".
