International. ASSA ABLOY Security Solutions launched its new CLIQ Connect app, a simple and cost-effective way for facility managers to control a mobile workforce's security permissions from their smartphone.
Facility administrators can update, modify, revoke, or renew access rights remotely from CLIQ Web Manager software and the latest Bluetooth technology paired with a mobile phone. Mobile workers simply need to open the CLIQ Connect app so that updated access permissions are instantly transferred to their programmable CLIQ key via Bluetooth.
This technology provides flexible access control and a secure key management solution for facility administrators. Access rights can be adapted to meet individual requirements, so permissions are only granted for the specific time and date needed. In addition, a lost key is no longer a threat, as facility administrators can simply remove key access rights from CLIQ Web Manager software, anytime, anywhere.
Operations are also simplified, with a key holder no longer having to physically update access rights in person, carry additional update devices, or even return to base to retrieve the necessary key. For added peace of mind, audit logs can also be generated on demand, and data transfer between the system and the application is encrypted.
