Xtralis Optical Open Area Smoke Detection (OSID) is a new technology designed specifically for these environments, enabling early detection and response to save lives and avoid service interruptions in spaces such as airports, railway stations, stadiums and shopping malls.
OSID uses a sophisticated algorithm to assign and compare the intensity of infrared (IR) and ultraviolet (UV) light signals from emitters installed on the perimeter of the environment, including adjoining spaces at different heights.
The device also reduces installation and maintenance costs due to the use of batteries to power emitters with more than five years of life.
Features include a maximum detection range of up to 150 meters (492 feet), exceeding the reach of traditional barriers by more than 50%, and allows for easy alignment with wide adjustment and display angles, as well as a conventional alarm interface for easy integration with the fire system.
