International. Next January, the awards of the first edition of CaixaBank Hotels & Tourism, convened by the financial institution CaixaBank, will be presented at the International Tourism Fair (FITUR). These awards aim to recognize the innovation, sustainability and corporate social responsibility (CSR) of companies in the country's hotel sector.
The first edition of CaixaBank Hotels & Tourism is made up of three categories that are the "Best hotel establishment" to highlight the originality of the project, the innovative design and the impact on the destination; "Tourism innovation" focused on the recognition of the novel and original technology that has been applied in the business model; and "Corporate Social Responsibility" that will highlight the respect and social sensitivity of the project, company or group.
CaixaBank's objective is to recognize and promote new actions that help promote the improvement and renewal of companies dedicated to tourism, thus improving the country's tourism offer.
Phases of the award
The financial institution has divided this award into two phases: regional and national. In the first phase of regional indole, three companies will be selected, one for each category, in each of the different territorial directions.
In the second and final phase, among all the selected companies, two entities will be chosen for each category that will be the winners of the CaixaBank Hotels & Tourism awards.
Jury
To select the winners, the jury is composed of professionals in the tourism and CSR sector of the financial institution. The companies that stand out among the jury are the "la Caixa" Banking Foundation, the Spanish Confederation of Hoteliers and Tourist Accommodation (CEHAT), the Higher School of Business Administration and Management (ESADE) and the Hotel Federation of Mallorca.
For all establishments interested in participating in this award, they can register until November 30 at any of the 5,239 CaixaBank branches and through the 120 business centers.
