Colombia. The price of renting premises in shopping centers in Bogotá is the highest per square meter in all of Latin America and one of the most increased in 2014 in the world, according to a study entitled "Main Streets Across the World" and carried out by the firm Cushman & Wakefield.
According to the report, the estimated cost per square meter in the Colombian capital is $3,748 a month, making it the most expensive city in Latin America and the most expensive in the Americas after New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Miami.
In addition to the above, Bogotá also presented one of the most representative increases in the value of its rental prices of commercial spaces with an increase of 22.2% compared to 2013, which led it to rise from position 21 in the list prepared by the study to number 15 worldwide.
It is worth noting that this trend is not exclusive to Bogotá, sectors of Lima, Buenos Aires, Quito and Mexico have also presented significant increases in the rental prices of their commercial properties.
