Spain. Facility services company ISS opened a new corporate headquarters in the city of Madrid, Spain. This new office building has 4,341 square meters of total area divided into four floors, which accommodate more than 200 employees of the company. In addition, the building located near the airport reinforces ISS' commitment to technological innovation and energy efficiency.
"The process of cultural transformation that our group is experiencing necessarily included having new facilities that projected the corporate values with which we feel fully identified," explained the executive president of ISS Iberia, Joaquim Borrás, who added that "this new space is specially designed to promote teamwork, encourage healthy lifestyle habits and contribute to an increasingly sustainable environment."
The new headquarters also means the unification in a single corporate headquarters of all employees who were previously in two offices located in different areas of Madrid.
Among the main features of the building are the concepts of open spaces designed to promote creativity as well as the interrelation and collaboration between the different departments, and the "free seating", that is, there are no fixed places of work and, therefore, mobility among employees is enhanced.
"Encouraging the use of stairs instead of the elevator and installing light sensors and recycling containers in common areas are other measures that help make this work environment better," said Borrás.
