Argentina. November will be the month in which the International Congress of Facility Managers will take place in Buenos Aires. Those responsible for real estate and services in the region will be able to learn about the experiences and good practices, from the hand of the best professionals in the sector, as well as enjoy guided tours, workshops and networking.
The congress program consists of activities aimed at covering the widest possible spectrum of the sector. In this way, the first day is dedicated to the Services and Energy block, and the second day will be dedicated to Workplace and Technology, so that the interests of these different groups in the FM sector can be served. Each day consists of a day of conferences and specialized workshops on Service Provision, Workplace and FM Regulations, the latter led by IRAM representatives and Stan Mitchell, Chairman of ISO TC 267 Facilities Management.
Likewise, international FM associations will be able to get in touch and strengthen relations between professionals in the sector, an indispensable tool to improve the visibility of FM as a profession, in a new call for the "Gathering of FM associations", which has already been carried out successfully in previous editions. On this occasion and hosting the local association SLFM, numerous Latin American international associations will participate along with the presence of Pekka Matvejeff, current chairman of EuroFM who will give his European vision. On the third day, the program closes with guided tours of the AL RIO complex and the building of the Government House of the City of Buenos Aires, built by Norman Foster & Partners.
This three-day congress will be a communication platform between Facility Managers, suppliers and associations.
The objective of this congress will be to expose how the solution to the challenges faced by Facility Managers in their day to day has been developed, service providers will be able to have first-hand information about the needs and main concerns of their potential clients and the associations will analyze how to improve the discipline at the local level.
In short, CIFMers LATAM will be an event that, maintaining the values of ethics and professionalism, aims to strengthen the sector and the professional figure of the Facility Manager in the Latin American region.
