International. The European Commission has begun to analyse the first phase of the preparatory study of Building Automation and Control Systems (BACS).
This study seeks to provide a technical, environmental and economic analysis in accordance with Article 15 of the Ecodesign Directive 2009/125/EC.
The study is based on the Methodology for the Ecodesign of Energy-Related Products (MEErP), focused on evaluating whether energy-related products meet certain criteria in accordance with Article 15.
The objective is to expand the results of the preparatory study for the Ecodesign work plan 2016-2019 and complement the studies focused on the development of an indicator of intelligent readiness for editing and smart devices.
This study is divided into two parts:
- Define product groups and define system boundaries.
- Evaluate PRODUCT GROUPS and MEErP recommendations.
