With concerns about what Mexicans are eating and what innovative strategies are currently being developed in the beverage and food industry, Alimentaria Mexico 2011 will be held in the Federal District between May 31 and June 2.
For the fair, the objective of these three days is to offer updated information on how consumer habits have been modified and what are the strategies that companies are applying. According to the organizers, this tenth version will bring together 11,000 professional visitors and about 400 exhibitors who, in a commercial exhibition, will exhibit about 5,000 new products.
As a novelty, the first day of the fair will have the keynote lecture "Analysis of the food industry in Mexico in the context of the risks it currently faces", which refers to the way in which hypermarkets respond to distribution needs, the type of products that Mexicans want to consume and the way in which regulations on the subject of obesity will affect the industry.
In addition, the program includes a Food Trends Workshop, a logistics and distribution conference, nutrition seminars, wine tastings, the National Sommeliers Competition, the editorial parador, among other activities.
