Mexico. With the installation of 210 solar panels capable of generating 250 wats each, the CI Banco Casa de Bolsa building in Cancun, Mexico, will be able to generate one hundred percent of its electricity expenditure.
According to one of the bank's directors, Juan Pablo Gutiérrez, the installation of solar panels is designed to supply electricity to all the bank's facilities and offices, which total an average of 600 square meters and include air conditioning, computers, lighting and other systems necessary for the proper functioning of the property.
Thanks to this system, the bank expects to achieve savings of 87% in the payment of public services, which would recover the investment made within five years. Considering that the panels have a useful life of 25 years, the expected savings represent a significant sum for the bank.
