A study published by Sodexo under the title "How leaders value quality of life", states that contributing to a good quality of life for employees is a priority for companies in the education, corporate and health sectors. Leaders in these industries surveyed said they see this aspect as a new lever to improve performance.
Specifically, 66% of the senior managers of companies in developed and emerging countries interviewed say they are totally convinced that improving the quality of life of workers is a strategic priority for their institutions.
On the other hand, 91% of respondents indicated that they perceive a relationship between quality of life and performance in their organization, while 57% said they "totally agree" with this idea. In addition, 86% have implemented at least three initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life within their organization.
A better quality of life can have different impacts for businesses. According to 99% of the interviewees, this factor is mainly evidenced in the satisfaction of internal and external customers, 94% believe that it affects the image and reputation, 93% productivity and efficiency; while 88% believe it is reflected in economic performance.
The survey also showed that this new management approach is gaining traction in all sectors of the economy. A total of 65% of the leaders interviewed for the study predict that improving the well-being of employees and customers will be a vital element in the coming years.
