Facility Managers must use tools that allow them to better manage the properties under their charge, in that sense management software can play a crucial role in improving the performance of employees, suppliers and assets, as well as reducing the level of expenses, but clarity in the use of this tool is essential to make the most of it.
The above is the conclusion drawn by a study carried out by the company Service Works Group in collaboration with the British fair the Facilities Show. The survey results ensure that the industry must create a clear picture of how FM technology can demonstrate the long-term value of facility management, through better quality data, auditability and compliance.
Similarly, the study pointed to several key areas where software can offer significant benefits. For example, 73% of respondents said that the use of software tools improved their efficiency, 72% consider that it increased their level of auditability, while 60% say they improved in compliance with occupational health and safety standards.
Regarding the relationship with suppliers, 56% of respondents consider that the use of software allows them to comply with service level agreements. In turn, 54% say they achieved a cost reduction thanks to software.
Finally, the study pointed out that the ability to manage software from mobile devices grows in importance, 65% of the interviewees pointed out this aspect as an important factor in their management strategy.
