Colombia. The Facility Management sector in Latin America has experienced rapid growth in recent years, so integrated service provision companies are betting heavily on the region and more and more clients are demanding a professionalized management of services.
In this context, the FMHOUSE Institute wants to provide the market with training by professionals with years of experience in the management of real estate and services through a Diploma in Facility Management that will be taught from October 2015 in the cities of Bogotá and Medellín. The FMHOUSE Institute has already dictated the content of this Diploma also to private organizations, such as the University of Ecopetrol and is preparing to provide similar training to Bancolombia professionals.
The Diploma is structured in two modules. Module 1 covers the basic and necessary tools for the dimensioning, definition, measurement and control of all services. Module 2 presents in independent packages the main aspects that a Facility Manager must know in topics such as service bidding, space management, energy and sustainability, business continuity, IWMS and BIM tools, etc.
Module 1 will be taught in October, November and December 2015, two days a month in face-to-face sessions, while Module 2 will be taught from April to June 2016, also two days a month in face-to-face sessions.
In total, the Diploma includes 126 hours of specialized training, with online monitoring of the projects carried out in a group, and will be taught by David Martínez, an expert trainer with more than 20 years of experience in the discipline of Facility Management.
