Colombia. The Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group announced, within the framework of the convention of the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA), its expansion plans in Latin America with the opening of three hotels of the Radisson Blu brand. These would be the Radisson Blu Santiago in Chile, Radisson Blu San Andrés Resort & Spa and Radisson Blu Santa Marta Resort & Spa in Colombia.
"Radisson Blu has a global presence with more than 280 operating hotels worldwide and we see great potential in Latin America," said Javier Rosenberg, Chief Operating Officer of Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group Americas.
In the case of the property in Santiago, the Radisson Petra La Dehesa Hotel will be transformed and become Radisson Blu Santiago La Dehesa by the first quarter of 2016. The transformation will include improvements to the rooms, public areas, service and food and beverage spaces.
The Radisson Blu San Andres Resort & Spa is a new hotel that will be located on the Caribbean island of San Andres. The oceanfront resort is scheduled to open during the first quarter of 2016 and will be a 77-room boutique hotel, each with its own individual pools.
Radisson Blu Santa Marta Resort & Spa located in Santa Marta, Colombia, is also a new hotel construction that will open its doors in 2017. The hotel will feature 190 rooms, 17,000 square feet of meeting space, a full-service spa and sports facilities.
