Latin America. Schneider Electric won in the 'Innovation of the Year in Data Center' category of the DCS Awards, 2018. The award, decided by popular vote, is a recognition of the development in innovation and leadership that the company has made.
As part of Schneider Electric's EcoStruxure architecture for data centers, HyperPod is a rack-ready system designed to deploy large-scale IT in 8- to 12-rack increments. HyperPod's innovative design is compatible with all current racks. Its pod-based architecture, with integrated power, cooling, cabling, software management, and containment, allows racks with equipment currently in use to be put in place, significantly reducing the complexity and installation time associated with traditional IT deployments.
Receiving the award on behalf of Schneider Electric, Matthew Baynes, Segment Director of Colocation and Telecommunications at Cloud & Service Providers, commented: "I am proud to accept this distinguished award, which recognizes Schneider Electric for its innovation. A fundamental and key focus for our company is to improve innovation at all levels. By accelerating deployment times by up to 21% and reducing CAPEX costs by 15%, HyperPod is the perfect complement to today's data centers, especially hyperscale and colocation data center providers, looking to add capacity quickly."
