How many people wake up in the morning and after having a coffee or a glass of water want to go to the hotel gym to practice their daily exercise routine to the beat of a good mix of electronic sounds. Or how valuable it is to have a business room equipped with a photocopier and Internet room to meet a good appointment with an important client; even some accommodations provide babysitting service, laundry, morning newspaper, massages, among others.
To the point I want to reach is that many hotels still do not have any of these services that day by day are more key to preserve the stay of a visitor, and this forces the guest to leave the hotel and look for other alternatives, something that should not happen taking into account that you are paying for a comfortable and safe place such as this type of establishment.
I want to think that there are already few major hotels that have not yet improved their complementary services, since these become another reason why the competition can take advantage.
If you read this column and consider that your aggregate services are already in operation, think carefully about what may be missing to make your guests' stay more pleasant; but if including additional services hasn't even crossed your mind it's time to upgrade and enter the new hotel era.
