A new feature that allows you to book rooms in more than 140,000 hotels worldwide from an iPad tablet was launched by the portal Hotels.com, as reported by the portal in a press release.
The program, which is free to download, is available in 30 languages and allows you to search and book hotels around the world, access 20,000 last-minute offers and view 2.5 million user reviews that are already on the portal.
For the Senior Vice President of E-Commerce of Hotels.com, Scott Booker, it is an application that develops a new innovative search experience, which takes advantage of Apple's functionality and usability and combines it with the system that the portal has consolidated for several years, so that the guest searches, filters and finds options near him and, by the way, also save and manage reservations at your favorite hotels.
"We launched our two mobile apps in April and they have already amassed over 1.5 million downloads. We hope this new app will generate tremendous momentum on those numbers," Brooker said.
The application is designed so that the keyboard remains at the bottom of the screen for the duration of the reservation process, which makes it easier to use. To that are added other options such as the tools to select and filter hotels, change from one hotel to another in seconds and see reviews of other users and photographs of the establishments with a single movement.
The company informed that reservations can be made even without registering in the portal and can be synchronized with other smartphones and calendars; similarly, information from past transactions may be accessed in the future, even without a data connection.
