Spain. The real estate investment management company JLL, announced the incorporation of Sergio Fernandes as its new director of shopping centers for Spain. Fernandes comes from the company Metro Properties in which he served as director of asset management for southern Europe.
As for his professional training, Sergio Fernandes has a degree in Management, Planning and Tourism from the Aveiro University of Portugal and completed his training in Project Management at the Instituto de Empresa (IE).
Company spokesmen said that this new addition aims to strengthen the department of shopping centers, a sector that is currently key for the company.
Andrés Escarpenter, CEO of JLL, said: "The incorporation of Sergio is a fundamental step for a key department in JLL's strategy in Spain. From our shopping center area, a year of great challenges is expected."
In total, JLL's shopping centre division currently manages 20 commercial projects representing 607,282 m2 together and for which they offer services in the promotion, investment and operation stages.
