Mexico. Hilton Worldwide today announced the signing of a management agreement with Grupo Aldo Promotora de Inversión SAPI de CV to operate a Hilton Garden Inn hotel to be built in Salamanca, Mexico. Scheduled to open in 2016 in a key industrial city in Mexico, this new Hilton Garden Inn hotel serves as an example of the company's continued expansion efforts in Mexico.

"Hilton Garden Inn offers a wide variety of quality amenities and services to meet the needs of both business and leisure travelers, and this hotel will be a great addition to Mexico's current portfolio."
The Hilton Garden Inn Salamanca hotel in the state of Guanajuato will be strategically located near automotive plants, businesses and only 15 minutes from the city of Irapuato. In addition, the hotel will be located approximately 10 minutes from the city center.
"Mexico is a major focus of our expansion efforts in Latin America, and currently accounts for half of all projects in the region," said Tom Potter, senior vice president for the Caribbean, Mexico and Latin America at Hilton Worldwide.
Hilton Worldwide currently has a portfolio of 33 hotels and resorts that welcome those visiting Mexico. The company is actively pursuing other growth opportunities in the country and currently has a development plan that includes nearly 30 projects in Mexico.
