Latin America. Brazil, Colombia, Mexico and Peru are the four Latin American countries chosen by the Wyndham Hotels hotel chain to focus its expansion efforts on the future. According to the company, these four destinations would together represent an approximate increase of 426,000 rooms until 2022.
For Paulo Pena, president and CEO of Wyndham Hotel Group in Latin America and the Caribbean, "the next three years will be very important for us, because we will obtain considerable representation in the region."
"Focusing our energy and resources on obtaining better product quality, valuable technology and innovative new marketing programs, as well as reorganizing our teams to offer the highest level of support to our properties, is critical to our continued growth," added Pena.
Today, 138 properties of the chain are in operation throughout Latin America. In addition, Colombia is the fifth country with the highest number of rooms in the region, with 1,182. Surpassed by Mexico (4,592), Brazil (3,309), Argentina (1,759) and Panama (1,417).
