International. The British FM Institute (BIFM) announced the appointment of James Sutton as the organization's new CEO. Sutton joined BIFM in 2013 and since October of that year served as the institute's chief operating officer (COO).
BIFM Chairman of the Board of Directors Julie Kortens said: "We are delighted that James Sutton accepted the Board's request to fill the role of CEO. We believe he is the right person to take us forward in the next stage of our development. James has extensive knowledge in working with professional bodies and has been instrumental in the development and implementation of BIFM's long-term strategy."
"I look forward to working closely with our Board of Directors, management team, all of our employees and our volunteer community to achieve our strategic goals, as well as continue to represent and develop the FM profession, advocating for the value and benefits that FM brings to business, the economy and society at large."
