Peru. The Hotel Society of Peru (SHP) revealed that during the next 3 years 102 new hotel projects will be carried out in the Inca country, 46 of them located in Lima, the above driven by the constant increase of tourist visitors to this destination that in recent years has presented a 9.6% average annual growth in the number of visitors.
The development of these projects will require an investment of US$1.2 billion. By 2018, Peru is expected to have 7,600 new rooms, which will be added to the 3,149 that were already created between 2010 and 2014.
The above data were released during a road show held in Madrid and Barcelona, in collaboration with Air Europa, Viajes Pacífico, Chavín Tours and Condor Travel, where Peruvian representatives presented the country's hotel services to the Spanish tourism industry.
