International. Exacq Technologies, part of the Tyco Security Products business unit, introduced version 7.2 of its video management system (VMS) software, which will include native integration with Kantech's EntraPass access control system.
The update also includes configuration flags, a new list search mode, push notifications in Exacq Mobile and alert settings in Enterprise System Manager (ESM), and a system health monitoring program for use with enterprise network video recorders (NVRs).
The most important novelty is the integration of exacqVision with Kantech, because with this new functionality access control is incorporated into the video management system to achieve integrated management and monitoring of the entry points of the buildings.
"The integration of Kantech, added to Camera Links (controls superimposed on the display of the cameras), allows users to see the status and control the doors and locks directly from the live display page of the software client," they explain from the company.
In addition, the new ESM alerts give administrators the ability to prioritize events according to their importance. "With this new functionality, the ESM displays alerts in the main menu ensuring that users have faster access to the most important events to achieve more efficient security management," they explain.
