Chile. About US$15 million will be invested by national and international companies in the implementation of Non-Conventional Renewable Energy (NCRE) projects, as announced to local media by the Minister of National Assets of Chile, Víctor Osorio, who also revealed that 182 licenses will be approved for projects of this type.
According to Osorio, a large part of the projects are photovoltaic solar energy, which will be installed on more than 42,500 hectares of land granted in concession.
"It should be noted that the delivery of fiscal territories for the installation of these projects means contributing to the development of clean energies for the care of the environment; but it also generates more jobs and strengthens economic dynamism in various areas of the country," the official said.
