Colombia. Jeniffer Layke will promote in Colombia, within the framework of Construye Verde, initiatives and projects aimed at expanding access to clean and affordable energy, reducing the risks of climate change and strengthening communities worldwide
Jennifer is the Energy Program Director of the prestigious World Resources Institute (WRI), a global research organization that turns great ideas into actions that connect environmental protection, the generation of economic opportunities and the well-being of people. He leads the role of WRI as coordinating partner of the Building Efficiency Accelerator (BEA) Program of the United Nations and the World Bank, with a presence in +28 cities in the world and action plans in execution in Bogotá and Medellín.
He has more than 16 years of experience in issues associated with energy and sustainable cities. Between 2010 and 2014 she led the WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities' Building Efficiency Initiative, was deputy director of WRI's Climate and Energy Program, and founder of the Green Power Market Development Group, which developed innovative methods of energy procurement for corporate clean energy use in the United States and Europe. Layke's international experience includes technology transfer consulting for the World Bank and the U.S. EPA on the Montreal Protocol.
