International. Studying an energy management system consisting of the reduction of consumption through demand control is the objective of the European project Compete4SECAP to achieve a significant reduction in energy consumption in municipal buildings.
The Compete4SECAP (C4S) project offers 32 European cities, from eight different countries, the possibility of putting into operation an energy management system through which it is intended to achieve a significant reduction in primary energy consumption associated with the demands of municipal buildings. With the aim of increasing these savings, cities will participate in a competition in which both the savings achieved by each location and their success in the application of this system will be valued.
Launched last October 2017 in Riga, Latvia, this initiative builds on resources developed in previous projects, such as the SEAP 50000&1 working on energy management issues and action plans, and the Save @ Work project, which has organized municipal energy-saving competitions.
