Boon Edam
Boon Edam Inc. redesigned the internal mechanism of its Trilock 60 and Trilock 75 turnstiles, allowing them to operate in a quiet and smoother manner when the barriers are rotating to the next position.
Now, the inner locking and ratchet mechanism (which controls the rotation of barriers to allow the passage of only one user at a time) has been redesigned, without sacrificing the safety of operation. In addition, rubber shock absorbers are used on certain contact surfaces to reduce the usual "click" noise level produced by turnstiles.
Thus, the operating noise of the turnstile during the circulation of users is reduced from 86 decibels to 73 decibels, a notable difference.
The new interior mechanism is also easier to build, install and repair than before, resulting in more efficiency and cost savings for the customer during and after the purchase.
Additionally, previous trilock 60 and Trilock 75 turnstile designs can be easily upgraded with the new mechanism, with minimal downtime and no need to purchase new parts.
