International. The City Council of Barbastro (Huesca) invests 47,159.75 euros in improving energy efficiency and performance in the public lighting of six roads in the city and the Valle del Cinca industrial estate. With the change of the 100 luminaires included in this project, a saving of more than 8,000 euros per year will be achieved on your bill.
In this way, it is intended to provide these areas with a uniform and adequate light level for roads with a preference for pedestrian crossing, while lowering the overall consumption of public lighting, eliminating the current lamps of 125, 250 and 400 W of VMCC and replacing them with LED lamps of between 60 and 150 w.
The electrical networks will also be renewed in those cases in which electrical safety is reduced.
The new luminaires have an autonomous power regulation control system. The project contemplates the replacement of the power lines grapes to façade or aerial and the installation of points of light on column and in mural fixation. In total 100 new elements more efficient and respectful with the environment.
Once this implementation has been completed, 85% of the 3,500 light points in the city will have an energy efficiency system, which saves an average of 40% on the electricity bill.
