International. Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology is gradually gaining presence, through multiple functionalities. EnOcean has developed a new BLE version to implement in its self-sufficient Dolphin modules for the Bluetooth Led lighting controllers in 2.4 GHz of its Easyfit brand.
These devices allow the user to control all the illuminations, temperature and smart switches of their homes or offices without the need to install batteries, since the switches are based on the accumulation of energy. This is possible because they feed themselves with the press of the button and generate enough energy to send wireless signals via Bluetooth low energy to other devices, to indicate the action they have programmed.
The integration of Bluetooth low energy allows the creation of a wireless mesh, which are able to emit faster information and without the need for maintenance of the devices.
"Modern smart lighting systems still require occupant input, whether they come from motion sensors or light switches. Connecting cables to these devices can be a daunting task, while battery-powered devices introduce constant maintenance headaches. The use of self-powered wireless sensors and switches solves these two challenges in one step," explains Troy Davis, Sales Director at EnOcean.
Easyfit uses STANDARD PTM 215B switching modules offering a range of possibilities to incorporate various switch designs from various manufacturers. This is the case of the combination of this technology with other lighting systems from Casambi, Helvar, Silvair, Vossloh-Schwabe, Xicato, Wirepas, Illumra and Echoflex, improving their functionality.
In addition, easyfit Bluetooth self-powered wireless switches with Near Field Communication (NFC) offer the possibility of creating simple or complex lighting scenes and effects, depending on the user's needs, while their installation is simple and flexible.
