The chain strengthens its position in the international market
Sol Meliá adds eleven hotels to the luxurious catalog of Preferred Hotel Group
Sol Meliá has added eleven hotels to the exclusive "Preferred Hotel Group" catalogue, a global provider of commercial solutions for more than 750 tourist establishments, brought together in its portfolio of brands characterized by luxury, innovation, service and elegance in the hotel industry. This affiliation will allow the company to strengthen its strategic positioning in international markets -especially Anglo-Saxon-, where Preferred Hotel Group has been working for 40 years and has a great reputation.
The hotels that enter the Preferred Hotel Group catalog must meet more than 1,600 quality standards, which guarantee agents, prescribers and the end customer the benefits they will find in the hotel, without surprises, because among other controls independent inspections of the accredited hotels are carried out. In turn, these establishments can benefit from commercial services, marketing and alliances with their partners.
Sol Meliá has included two hotels of its Meliá brand, three of the ME by Meliá brand and six of the Gran Meliá brand, the luxury flagship of the hotel company. All of them, to which other establishments of the company are expected to be added in the future, have met the standards required by Preferred Hotel Group, related to location, architecture, interior and exterior design, facilities, technological equipment or gastronomic offer, among others.
The company's eleven hotels have been incorporated, specifically, into two of the five brands that make up the group's catalogue: Preferred Hotels & Resorts (Gran Meliá Puerto Rico, Gran Meliá Cancun, Gran Meliá Don Pepe, Gran Meliá Colón, Gran Meliá Palacio de Isora, Gran Meliá Victoria, ME Madrid, ME Barcelona and ME Cancún) and Summit Hotels & Resorts (Meliá México Reforma and Meliá Cabo Real).
Álvaro Tejeda, director of sol Meliá's Premium Portfolio in America, said that the alliance with Preferred Hotel Group "represents the union of two quality brands, committed to excellence and customer experience" and among its advantages, Tejeda highlights that "in Preferred we have found an ally of prestige and trust that with its endorsement, it will boost our reputation and open many doors for us." For Alex Hugot, director of the ME by Meliá brand in Europe, with three hotels certified by Preferred Hotel Group, it represents "a seal of quality that allows us to self-evaluate and maintain the highest levels of demand and, at the same time, use its commercial platform to position ourselves in markets where we want to gain brand recognition".
