During the ceremony held on November 22 at the InterContinental Paris-Le grand Hotel in the French capital, the names of the winners of the 2011 edition of the Worldwide Hospitality Awardswere revealed.
For Latin America, the second place achieved by the Colombian Álvaro Rey Mora, manager of the InterContinental Park Lane in London, who got the second place in the category of luxury and high-end hotel manager, stood out.
The winners of the most important categories were the following:
- Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts for Best Communications Campaign
- Sofitel for best marketing campaign
- Desert Lodge in Dakhla Egypt for the best sustainable development program
- Kempinski Hotels for best human resources program
- Shanti Hotel Maurice for best guest experience
- Yotel New York for the most innovative concept
In addition, Leah Marshall of The Bristol Hotel Paris was recognized as the best general manager and Hilton Worldwide received the "Hospitality-on" Grand Prize, named after MKG's online hospitality industry information group, organizer of the event.
