One of the biggest challenges that Osorio will have to face will be to combat the illegal practice of hotel services, as well as to monitor and accompany the investment made in the country in terms of hotel infrastructure and face the goals that are raised under the context of the Free Trade Agreements that Colombia executes with other countries.
Juan Carlos Osorio, who served as Chairman of the Board from 2005 to 2007, is a business administrator from the University of Medellín and holds a diploma in Public Management from the Cooperative University of Colombia.
He was also president of the Colombian Association of Universities (ASCUN) in the Antioquia-Chocó region, in the same way he served as project director of the academic program Development to the Community Municipality of Medellín and was a member of the National Tourism Council.
